What it means to connect on Dokimazo

Connections are how your Skill Wallet can interact with companies, universities, schools, and training institutions.

When you accept a connection, you authorize that organization to collaborate with you within Dokimazo in a transparent and controlled manner.

The connection does not mean that the organization can see your entire profile or all your personal information. On Dokimazo, only the skills, proofs of competence, and validations that you or the organization decide to share are shared.

What are connections for

Connections enable you to:

  • receive skills, qualifications, or training objectives
  • obtain evaluations, certificates, and other validations
  • share personal skills with organizations or training institutions
  • document learning and professional experiences
  • build a verifiable history of your competencies

Connections therefore make your Skill Wallet a living space, updated over time, where competencies can be validated and enriched by multiple parties.

Connection with a company

When you connect with a company, it can:

  • assign you skills or company roles
  • share competency objectives with you
  • evaluate your skills
  • add company validations
  • associate proofs of competence such as evaluations or project results

Once connected, a shared area with the organization will appear in your Wallet.

Here you will find:

  • skills assigned by the company
  • skills you have decided to share with the organization
  • the relevant proofs of competence and validations

You can also share personal skills

The connection is not just for receiving skills from the company.

You can also choose to share skills already present in your Skill Wallet, for example:

  • competencies developed in previous experiences
  • informal skills
  • competencies acquired in personal or training activities
  • skills validated by other organizations or training institutions

This way you can demonstrate transversal competencies useful in the work context.

You can add proofs of competence to company skills

If the company assigns you a skill, you can strengthen it by adding:

  • self-assessments
  • experiences
  • training outcomes
  • documents or certificates

Evidence of competence helps make the skill more credible, documented, and verifiable over time.

Connection with universities, schools, and training institutions

When you connect with a training institution, school, or university, you can:

  • receive target skills linked to courses or training experiences
  • obtain attestations, certificates, or digital badges
  • receive evaluations on developed competencies
  • document project work, internships, Erasmus, or other experiences
  • collect learning outcomes in your Skill Wallet

The skills and validations received appear in the Wallet as second-party evidence of competence, meaning they are validated directly by the institution that provided the training experience.

This makes competencies more reliable and easily shareable even with companies or other organizations.

Who can see your information

On Dokimazo, there is no total profile sharing.

Each connection only shows:

  • the assigned or shared skills
  • the linked evidence of competence
  • the associated validations

Your other personal skills in your Wallet remain private, unless you decide to publish or share them.

What happens if a connection is removed

A connection can be terminated:

  • by you
  • by the organization
  • by the training provider

When a connection is removed:

  • the shared area will no longer be accessible
  • you will no longer be able to receive new validations from that organization
  • any unvalidated skills might be removed from the shared section

However, skills already validated and evidence of competence already obtained can continue to remain in your personal Skill Wallet, based on your sharing and privacy settings.

This allows you to retain over time the history of skills developed during your educational or professional journey.

Connections transform the Wallet into a collaborative space

Your Skill Wallet is not just a list of skills.

Thanks to connections, it becomes a shared space where people, companies, and training institutions can collaborate to:

  • document real skills
  • validate learning and experiences
  • build a verifiable skill history
  • make skills more visible and credible over time

Every connection thus helps strengthen the value of your profile and your skills.
